Train Story

Yesterday I came back to Singapore from my home town Triang to prepare for my trip to Kuching tomorrow. I will be flying off with Tiger Airways at 1455 and arriving to Kuching at 1615 with the price of 130 Sing dollar. I booked the ticket quite late as I just decide to go that this month and ended up with a rather expensive ticket.

I travel to Singapore from my home town by train for 3 years. Bus is rather expensive and take about the same time to reach Singapore. My place there do not have an air port, so flying to Singapore is not an option to me and I don't dare to walk to Singapore also. As I was on the train yesterday, I suddenly discovered that some of the train station have an Indian temple located near it. If not an Indian temple, then there will be a mosque. I need to pay more attention next time I ride the train and see whether every train station got religion praying places near it.

I nearly missed the train yesterday as I mistakenly read the timing wrongly. But in the end still manage to get on it right before the train takes off. Phew...While on the train, I was sitting in front of three aunties chatting. After some stations, a couple got on the train in one of stations. The guy is in his forties and the girl is in her twenties. My first impression was that the guys is the father to that girl, but it came out wrong. She is his wife. Her speaking Chinese is rather weird when I heard it and guessed she was from Vietnam or China. When the train was near Johor Bahru, I overheard two of the aunties behind me chatting about the young girl and I stealthily smiled.

A:那个是印尼妹咯。。。
B:刚才躺在那个男的大腿上的啊? (Yes, there was once the girl was lying on the lap of the guy) 你又懂?
A:看她的皮肤还有你看她画的妆。。。一看就懂是印尼来的。。。 (She is quite fair and her makeup is not that thick also)

When they were chatting loudly, the guy went to the toilet leaving her on the seats. I think she heard what the aunties were talking about and kept quiet. The couple alight at Johor Bahru and riding motorcycle back to their home. They carried two helmets.

I was wondering, is it love that brings the couple together? or is it that the girl only wants his fortune?
