Bus Story

Today I went to Funan DigitalLife Mall to change my Fujitsu battery, now it only lasted for 1 and a half hour. When I reach there, the staff at Fujitsu told me that my warranty was already expired and cannot help me change for another battery without a warranty. They suggested me to purchase another battery at their accessory shop. My laptop is almost 3 years old and I am fine with only a short period of time for battery. So I went back with my friend, Clarance's white Mac-book battery that I promise to help him collect as he is in not in Singapore.

On my way back, it was raining and I have no choice but to walk to the nearest bus stop that I can find to take a bus back. I took bus 33 when I was suppose to take bus 197 back if there were no rain. After a few stop I got into the bus, a rather fat and age around 20 plus years old man got into the same bus and sat a few sits in front of me. I was sitting at the last row and same column as the bus driver. He started to talk to a woman beside him and I was attracted to their conversation as normally nobody will talk to a stranger beside him. After some while, the woman alighted while telling the man that the Chinatown MRT station is just 2 or 3 stops away. When the bus was about to reach the MRT station, the man suddenly asked, 'Is this the stop to the MRT station?' in a very loud voice. Nobody answered, but he knows that is the stop that he wanted to alight somehow, maybe someone whispered to him and I did not hear it. By then I was thinking, the station is just opposite the bus stop we are heading, he didn't notice it? I started to observe that man and it was me who didn't notice that there was a white cane accompanying him all the time. He put it beside him, leaning to the bus's window. After he alight, I felt somewhat sorry for him and suddenly feel lucky that I was born in a 'complete' form. I felt that he is very brave to face the world without his sight. Every disabled person is braver than a normal person. I wondered what will I do when I lost my sight, my hearing, or unable to speak. All these senses are very important to me as to all of us!!!
