At last my final exam finished on 6th Dec. On that very day, around 5pm, my friends and i went to Plaza Singapura in Orchard road watch "The Golden Compass" at Golden Village. After the movie, we walk along the road. The decorations for Christmas along the road and on the building is very pretty. This year's main theme for Christmas is Fairy Tales.
We head back to NUS at 1030pm and continue watching 'Final Destination 1 & 2', and 'V for Vendetta' for the whole night. I slept at 7am on the 7th Dec.
On the 8th Dec i went to Orchard Road again to meet my friends from my hometown.
On 9th Dec i packed all my belongings and moved it all to my friend's room because everybody have to check out on 10th Dec before 12pm.
It is quite boring for these few days. All my friends all go back to their hometown already. I have to stay back until 11th Dec cause i have an audition on 10th Dec. And i failed it cause i didn't practice often and i am a beginner in playing guitar.
I will go back tomorrow that is 11th Dec 6.15pm by train and estimated time to reach my hometown is 1230am.
Really miss my hometown, the food , the buildings, everything.............

Preparing
Today is the final lecture for my semester one in NUS. Now is to prepare for the final exam. My first exam is my English module on 23 November, Friday, during the reading week. Then comes Mechanics and Waves on 26 Nov, Chemistry on 1 Dec, Computing and Statistics on 4 Dec, Genes and Society on 5 Dec, ans finally Advanced Calculus on 6 Dec.
I don't know how well i will perform in these exams but i will be give them all i got.

Hermite Polynomials
Hermite Polynomials is my first project in my mathematics module. The question requires us to prove 3 properties, find another 2 and find one application. It is a very hard topic and i spent one whole night without sleep completing this project. Then the other day, which is Monday, i felt sleepy during lecture. Actually many of us felt asleep during the Monday lecture.I did my project in my computer room especially for ESP students because i don't have Microsoft Office and i use Maple(a programming software for solving mathematics problem) that is available in the computer room to do my project. I learn to use Maple in a very short time(easy to use) and glad to finish it before the due date that is the coming Monday.

Just Satisfactory
Today i get my exam result already(so quick).My result is satisfactory.There are three band for the exam that are unsatisfactory, satisfactory, and excellent, and i get satisfactory.The range of marks is 0-8 for unsatisfactory, 9-15 for satisfactory, and 16-20 for excellent.I wonder what marks i get.My professor said that the total average mark for the whole class is 15.So the probability that i get below average is bigger i think.So sad and down.But luckily i didn't get unsatisfactory.

Workload
It is getting closer and closer to my ever first exam in NUS.My first exam is on mechanics and wave and the exam will be on the 17th of September .After the exam i will have a one week holiday break.During that break i plan to do all my assignments and projects given.Until now i have 2 assignments that are computing and statistics assignment 1 and advanced calculus assignment 1.The projects are chemistry project and a joint project between two module of mine that are my computing and statistics module and my mechanics and wave module.My main topic on chemistry project is organic light emitting diode(OLED).In the future OLED will substitute the light bulb and the fluorescent lamp.And my joint project is very interesting cause i get to use my computing knowledge on something like a real life situation.Hmm....i wonder i can do it or not.

STRESS
The university life, is it stressful for everyone?For me, it is but i try to enjoy it.It was until i get into university that i learn the proper meaning of stress.
This Monday i overslept and i skipped one lecture that was my physics module lecture.My friend told me that the professor said that he loves to teach this class because the attendance is quite satisfying.That day my other course mate also skipped that lecture.And i have a quiz on the next next Monday.The quiz is a continuous assessment for my first semester and it takes 20% from my whole 100% marks.I don't know whether i can do it or not.A bit worry cause all my other course mate is very talented and bright.
I am also thankful that i am not in architecture cause my friends who are doing that have to rush their assignment every day and night.
I think every course has its own ups and down.

CRAZY!
I am an engineering science student and i just found out that my modules is very CRAZY!!!
What do i mean by that is i am in year 1 and i am taking year 1 module for ESP but some of my modules are year 3 module for other courses.That's very hard for me and the others i think.For my computing and statistics module i just learn c language programming in just 2 weeks.In week 3 my prof. will be teaching statistics.I guess for this ESP,all the modules is created that we are suppose to know everything and get used to it in real life.In just 2 weeks time i have lots of tutorial and readings to do.That's very HECTIC and MAD!At first i am thinking of changing course but then my friends told me that just stay on with ESP and try your best.Why i want to change is that i am worrying that i will get a bad result in my first semester and eventually pull my CAP down.In my first semester i take 6 modules already and for a normal student,5 modules is quite common but i have no choice cause i fail my English test and have to take an English module.Hope i will get a good CAP......worry........

First day in lecture
Today is my first day to lecture.My first lecture is at 9.00am,quite an early time slot.My first lecture is mechanics and waves for one hour and then at 11.00am is advance calculus.The first week for us only have lecture and no tutorials.Normally for the first lecture is to introduce what is the module you are studying about and some lessons to catch back the memories that can be very useful.
The engineering faculty here have a nice room just for engineering science student to use.NICE.And in there we can use computer that is available in the room.And i just found out we can print our lecture note there for free,the only thing is that we have to supply our own A4 paper.
Then in the afternoon i had my lunch there at Techno Edge(canteen in engineering faculty).I took the famous Indonesian Panggang.It was very nice,the sauce,the chicken,the fried egg,and the rice with curry on top.
I spent my entire morning there until 4pm, i have to rush to science faculty for another module that i take.When i arrive in the lecture theater in science faculty there,and beginning to get ready for the lecture,someone told me that today don't have any lecture for my module.Everybody was happy and disappointed and went back home.
When i was on my way back to my home, i bounce to my friend and took dinner at science canteen.I took roti prata and it was just ok to eat.My friend told me that he just went to Malaysia,Pulau Tioman,a nice tourism attraction..He said that you can tell the difference between Malaysia and Singapore when you cross the bridge.And he said that the driver of the cab that he is taking hit an elephant.......How can you don't see an elephant in front of you when it just walk pass by you?!....Funny....
Then we chat about the languages from their country(Sweden) that is Swedish and my own language(Chinese).They seems to have a great passion on learning Chinese. It is very nice of them for this kind of thing that have in their mind.In Swedish,they also have a noun for differentiating he or she.For he in Swedish is Han and for her is Hun(if i am not mistaken),and it has some similarity as German and French.Actually the language of Denmark is originally from Swedish.
At last i went to science co-op to check the price for my text book.It was all over $40 sing except for calculus and every single book was thicker than the dictionary moreover is very heavy to carry here and there.I decided to buy second hand book.I went back to my room after that.

RAG
Today is the first time for NUSSU to have rag day held in the padang near Fullerton Hotel and esplanade mall.Basically rag day is the day that all the student from each faculty or hall
show their best float and their best performances to the rest of the world.The student prepared this day from a long time ago,they have to plan and put their man power on work and then execute their plan.The student will be busy decorating their float and thinking of their performances.
There will be certificate and badges to win for their float and performances.For this year,the grand badges that is the most beautiful float ever made won by School of Design and Environment.
The biggest winner is Sheares Hall because they won many badges and certificate.Science Faculty also won a few and they have many supporters wearing blue t-shirts.
One thing that surprise me the most is the president of Singapore showing up in the event.At first i thought that it was just the president of NUS.But then i saw Mercedes Benz and the police car coming out.Everybody was going for the Benz to welcome the president.I know somebody was coming out of the car but didn't expect to be the president.
What can i say? The RAG for this year is a great success.
One thing is that the event started around 2 or 3 in the evening.We have to cheers under the scorching sun and get sun burn.Luckily my friend bring along an umbrella,but still get some burn on my right arm.And then the other thing is that the seats don't provide shelter for the

Inauguration Ceremony
The inauguration ceremony is something like a opening ceremony for freshman and it is on the 6th of August.The ceremony is held in the University Cultural Centre(UCC).I also heard that the minister of Singapore will gather in UCC to give a speech at Singapore National day.Like any other ordinary ceremony,the inauguration ceremony for us is the speech first from the vice-president of NUSSU(the president is not around) and then the president of NUS.After this was the performance from the student themselves(Quite a good performance i think,some found it was boring.)Just a around 2 hours ceremony.We have some refreshment after the ceremony.

Time flies
As i am typing this new post,i am an undergraduate student in NUS,Singapore.I will start my first semester in 13th of August.Come to think of it i am 20 years old already and i have been through a 20 year life.
I still remember i will ask my mom what is the dishes for the day when lunch or dinner comes(i just wanna know first),but now i have to decide what to eat in university life.At first in university canteen everything looks so nice and good to eat.However when time flew,it was just FOOD after all and already bored with the same style of dishes everyday.
When the first day i was in primary school,it was a rainy day(my friend told me,i forgot already).The memory is faint for my primary school happenings.
Then comes secondary school.This i remembered.The first day i went with my friend together.Then we sat on the bench in canteen waiting the announcement of which our class was and meet some new friends.
Now comes the day i went for university in Singapore.I went alone.Then out of expectation i meet 3 Kelantan freshman at the railway station(i went by train).There are 2 seniors already waiting us in the station and we rent a van to come to NUS.(I still remember i haven't pay the seniors back for the rental fee for van.Never meet them since the first day.)
Time really pass by just like that without you noticing it.That's why we have to have good use of out time.For now i just want to manage my time well when semester starts,it will surely be very packed.
